What is raw data?

Images and data to create a digital 3D object while scanning.

Does the raw data expire?

Yes, raw data expires but depends on the number of days it is set to be saved.

How to save raw data?

1. There is a dropdown on "Admin profile >>> Settings >>> System >>> Data management >>> Keep raw scan data for" that can be edited to decide for how long the raw data will be kept on the system.

   

   
   

   

   
   
2. Pinning cases

What option should be used?

Such decision is made based on customer's needs, however, it's important to mention that keeping raw data for extended periods of time might cause disk to run out of space.

As reference:

Most customers keep raw data for 10 days and PIN the cases that might require more time to get fully scanned.

What happens once the raw data is gone?

Once raw data is gone it will not be possible to edit scan files anymore, however, it will still be possible to export a copy ONLY if the case was processed.

What happens if a case was not processed and raw data is gone?

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover the scans under such scenario, however, there is a chance to find the files on AXS >>> Patients only if AXS was authenticated while scanning.
