What's happen when I pin a case?
By default, the raw data of a case is kept for 10 days in the Sirios software. After 10 days, on Sirios application startup, they are deleted.
When you Pin a case, the raw data is kept indefinitely, until you unpin the case.
Note: The 10 days count is from the moment of the last modification of the scan. If the customer scans the upper and lower on day 1, day 3 he modifies the upper then on day 10, the lower scan data will be deleted and on day 13 the upper scan data will be deleted.
When pinned it prevents the deletion of the scan data of the case. When unpinned, it doesn’t reset the 10 days delay before deletion, any scan older than 10 days, when unpinned will be deleted on the next restart on the Sirios application.
Can I pin all the cases ongoing/ not finished?
As a reminder, pinning a case maintains the raw data onto the system. It takes a lot of memory and the disk C:/ will be full quickly.
So, In which case, I can pin?
Pinning a case is strongly recommended when you need specific attention on this case from the Support.
For the dentist, we normally recommend it to them if they think they will need to retouch the scan in a near future. Some dentists prefer to keep the raw data until the case is closed.
