Partial Module - How to save Settings / Parameters
In the past, changes to partial design parameters were applied globally to all materials, which presented some limitations. Since DWOS 9 / CARES 12, these parameters can now be set per material and, as such, have different settings for each material for added flexibility.
Labs should share and back up the parameter settings, which is very easy to do. Similar to material export, these settings are saved in the resulting material XML file.
How to save Partial elements parameters:
- Open a case with Module Partial
- Open Preferences
- Set your settings as you like it
- Export the Preferences
- Select the directory
- You get a confirmation message
Keep this XML file cautiously.
How to import Preferences:
If you need to import the .XML file, follow the same process. You just need to select Import.
Please, keep in mind, you also need to keep the Manufacturing Fitting Parameters. It is a .XML of the material.
How to do:
- Open Material Management and the needed material
- Fill the Partial fields as you want
- Right-click on the Material
- Select Export Material
- Select the directory and fill the file name field.
