Check Before Update

• It may take several minutes to synchronize when logging in due to the database optimization process after the update. We recommend updating the program when you have plenty of time.

Storage Management Improved

• We improved Storage Management function for the local PC and cloud. You can identify and manage each storage capacity.

Case Upload/Download Improved

• We improved the “Case Upload” function. You can now easily upload cases that are not uploaded to the cloud.
• We improved the “Case Download” function. You can now easily download cases that are not saved to your local PC.

File Viewer Usability Improved

• We added the “Duplicate” function so you can duplicate the files stored in the case and use them as per your plan.
• We added the “Rename” function so you can change the name of the files stored in the case.

File Synchronization Performance Improved

• We improved the file synchronization performance. It will take less time to sync the files when you log in even though you have a lot of cases in your Case Box and Work Box.

Web Viewer Performance Improved

• It takes less time to load the data and display it on the screen.
• We improved the Move, Rotate, Zoom In, and Zoom out performances when using 3D data transparency, so you can check the data more comfortably.

General

• CARES Medit Link supports Microsoft Windows 11.
  • For i500 and T500 users, you must reinstall CARES Medit Link to use the program normally with Windows 11.
• You can get a notification if there is an issue in the occlusion result calculated by Medit Scan for Clinics. It can prevent ordering with an incorrect occlusion.
• If there are cases that remain incomplete after 14 days the work has been completed in laboratories, users with a clinic account can change the status of those cases to “Case Completed” at once.
• We have made improvements so that cases can be collectively changed to completed status in the clinic account if the cases 14 days after completion of work in the laboratory remain incomplete.
• The desired delivery time set when placing an order will be saved for the next orders.
• We have added an option that provides a more vivid rendering of scan data.
• Turn this option on and off in Settings > General > Viewing Options > Advanced Rendering (Beta).
• We made improvements to pass the memos written in CARES Medit Link to CARES Visual for better communication between clinics and laboratories

Bug Fixes

• Fixed the bug where the “Upload Raw Data” option would turn on occasionally.
• Fixed the bug where form information would not be properly displayed on the web.

Medit Scan for Labs v1.2.5

Automatically Fill Holes for Abutments 

• You can skip filling the abutment hole with wax and get right to scanning with the new “Fill Holes for Abutments” feature.
• Abutments scanned in “Flexible Multi-Die” will have their holes filled automatically.

Swap Scan Data

• You can now move and swap scan data to your desired scan stage.
• Even if you scan the data at another stage by mistake, you can now swap the scan data without rescanning.

Remove Base from Gingiva Scan Option

• We added the option to remove overlapping base data in the gingiva scan.
• You can now design prostheses using the gingiva data with overlapping base scans in the design software other than exocad.

Preview Flexible Multi-Die Assign

• You can now preview assigned data in “Flexible Multi-Die.”
• If the data is incorrectly assigned, swap the data in the preview window.

Show/Hide Tooth Number

• You can now hide the tooth number shown above the scan data in the “Align Data” stage.
• This feature is useful when selecting areas hidden by the tooth number when aligning automatically.

Notifications for New and Improved Features

• We will provide user notifications for newly added or changed features.

Scan Body Libraries Added

• We added new scan body libraries.
  • Brands: Cowellmedi and Geomedi, Mode Implant, Straumann Group

Other Improvements

• We increased scan productivity by reducing the “Initialize Axes” time when moving through the scan stage.
• We simplified data editing icons from 3 to 1.
• We improved the rough surface outcome when scanning additional data with the oral scanner. 
• We improved the “Scan Body Library” display screen to make selecting easier.
• We corrected how the base data is displayed overlapped after scan body processing.
• We made improvements to transfer the articulator information set in Medit Scan for Labs to CARES Visual to do CAD work quickly without additional settings.
• We added the Tooth Number in the tooltip so you can easily know what to scan during the Wax-Up Scan Stage (including Wax-Up Bottom Side) in Flexible Multi-Die.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed the gingiva option disappearing bug that intermittently happens when rescanning.
• Fixed the bug of occasional, irregular program exits while moving to the Alignment Data stage.

Version 2.6.1

• Improved Case Details:
  • We improved the ways you can check, save, and print Case Information.
  • Case Information and Invoice, which were provided together in the Print function in the In Box and Order Box, are provided as separate functions now.
    
  • You can now check Case Information in Case Box and Work Box as well as in the offline mode and unordered cases.
    
    
  • Members can now check Case Information.
  • You can save Case Information when exporting.

• Export Margin Line as Embedded Texture
  • You can export the margin line created through Medit Scan for Clinics as embedded texture on maxillary/mandibular data when exporting to PLY or OBJ format.
  • This color data is available in CAD, making the job more efficient.
    

• Improved File List UI
  • “Select/Deselect All” and “Collapse/Expand” features are available in the File List.

Release Note for Medit Scan for Clinics v1.8.1

• Medit’s brand new scanners i600 and i700 wireless will be compatible with Medit Scan for Clinics.

New Features for Convenient Digital Impressions

• Smart Scan Guide:
  • The Smart Scan Guide detects and alerts the user of any abnormal activities during scanning and provides guidance to help improve the overall scan quality.
  • The Smart Scan Guide provides additional explanations when the scan is paused to help you easily navigate the features.
  • You can turn this feature on and off in Menu > Settings > Feedback.

• Smart Shade Guide:
  • The Smart Shade Guide provides A.I.-powered shade recommendations based on the gathered scan data.
  • You can receive up to five shade recommendations per tooth and assign the best representative shade.
  • Update the shade information in Medit Link and share this information with your labs effortlessly.
  • This feature is only available with i600, i700, and i700 wireless.

Key Improvements:

• You can now choose from three scanning modes for your preferred scanning experience: Smooth & Steady, Automatic, and Fast & Furious.
• The modes can be changed in Scanner Settings.

• i700’s New Firmware Update:
  • A clearer and more precise scan is now available.
  • We added a new setting to automatically turn the scanner off if it hasn’t been used for a set period of time.
  • We improved the Plug & Scan’s connectivity with PCs supporting Thunderbolt 4.

• Improved Pre-Op Scanning Process:
  • Previously, you had to trim the pre-operation area to replace it with the newly acquired prepared teeth data. Now, you can skip that step and scan the prepared teeth area right away, as the program will automatically replace it for you.
  • You can now scan new Maxilla/Mandible data regardless of the Pre-Op Scan Stage you’re in and align them to the Pre-Op scan data.
  • We now remind you to “Lock Data” and lock it for you when you’re editing copied Pre-Op data to help you protect the existing data.

• Improved A.I. Scan Body Matching:
  • You can now conveniently download new libraries in the Scan Body dialogue window.
  • We improved the alignment algorithm to ensure that the aligned library will be in its correct location even when processing lower quality scan data.
• Improved A.I. Abutment Matching:
  • We added a new “Single-Use” tab to help you organize and manage abutment library data.
    • You can classify scanned or imported abutments for a specific case when registering abutments.
  • Categorize multi-use abutment library data in a separate abutment library tab called “Collections.”

• Improved Abutment Registration:
  • When registering abutments, you can now toggle on and off automatic abutment hole fillings.
  • Use the filled abutment data to create prostheses in CAD efficiently.

• Improved Remote Control Mode (i700 and i700 wireless Only):
  • We added an Overview stage to view all scanned data at once.
• Improved Undercut Analysis:
  • We added an arrow to indicate the insertion path so you can conveniently check the undercut areas of the prepared or adjacent teeth.
  • Control the arrow with your mouse and preview the undercut in real-time.

• Improved Data Tree:
  • When you hover your mouse over the data tree, the corresponding data’s silhouette is highlighted to help you readily distinguish the data.

Other Improvements:

• You can check the scanner’s status even with a collapsed Main Toolbar.

  • You can fold and unfold the guide messages on the left.
    
• Import Local Files:
  • In addition to Medit Link, you can now import local files directly from your PC.
  • You can import multiple 3D data from the Flexible Multi-Die Scan Stage.
    

• We fixed the program occasionally shutting down unexpectedly during scanning.
• We fixed the Pre-Op Scan Stage occasionally not appearing during the denture scan.
