How to do a transfer of a database and re-import it

In case where the customer is not using the milling integration (CAM AG module) the easiest way is to do the following:

  1. Copy the "STMNDATA" folder from the root of the C:\ or D:\ drive depending of your installation to an external drive.

  2. Paste it on the same path on the new system / installation. Root of the C:\ or D:\ drive.

In case of the customer is using the milling integration (has the CAM ag module). Please follow these steps:

  1. Export the DUMP from the server
    • open the server windows by clicking on the sever icon

    • Go  on the "Dump Database" Tab
    • Choose your export folder (by default it is in the installation directory: Straumann\Cares\DWOutput\dump.mysql.sql)

  2. Copy the FileVault folder:
    • This folder is located in the D: drive when available or in the C:/ if there is no other disk

      \STMNDATA\DWData\StraumannData\fileVault

    • It is recommended to "zip" it before the copy

  3. Delete the FileVault folder present in the new system and past the one from the backed up database at the same location on the new system
  4. re-import the dump from the window server:
    • Select the folder where the dump is located (automatically choose if you put it in the default one)
    • Click on the red/white box

    • Here the result once the Bump re-imported:

  5. Once done, close the server and restart it.
