How to do a transfer of a database and re-import it
In case where the customer is not using the milling integration (CAM AG module) the easiest way is to do the following:
Copy the "STMNDATA" folder from the root of the C:\ or D:\ drive depending of your installation to an external drive.
- Paste it on the same path on the new system / installation. Root of the C:\ or D:\ drive.
In case of the customer is using the milling integration (has the CAM ag module). Please follow these steps:
- Export the DUMP from the server
open the server windows by clicking on the sever icon
- Go on the "Dump Database" Tab
- Choose your export folder (by default it is in the installation directory: Straumann\Cares\DWOutput\dump.mysql.sql)
Click on the red/white box
Here the result once the export done
Copy the dump.mysql.sql file from the chosen folder.

- Copy the FileVault folder:
This folder is located in the D: drive when available or in the C:/ if there is no other disk
\STMNDATA\DWData\StraumannData\fileVault
It is recommended to "zip" it before the copy
- Delete the FileVault folder present in the new system and past the one from the backed up database at the same location on the new system
- re-import the dump from the window server:
- Select the folder where the dump is located (automatically choose if you put it in the default one)
Click on the red/white box
Here the result once the Bump re-imported:
- Once done, close the server and restart it.
