SIRIOS - IT's Pre-requisites _ minimum IT configuration NEEDED
Should you be asked by the client's IT about the Windows software settings and IT settings for your SIRIOS,please find all the necessary information below.
- No other firewall / antivirus than the one provided with Windows is supported
- Internet speed Best usage to use AXS: At least 25 Mbps Download x 5Mbps Upload
- Those two ports need to stay opened:
Omaha (SIRIOS update): Port 80
Secured HTTPS communication (AXS. licenses.dwos.com, etc.): Port 443
- Location of Windows always needs to be enabled to run the SIRIOS scanner
- IPv6 must be enabled in network setting and in the registry
A) IPv6 Network setting from control panel
B) IPv6 from the registry:
Open regedit and navegate until \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters\DisabledComponents
The registry key can have 4 values.
* 0xFF (IPV6 disabled completely)
*0x20 (prefer IPV4 over IPV6]
*0x10 (disable IPV6 on non tunnel interfaces]
*0x01 (disable IPV6 on tunnel interfaces)
*0x00 (Enable all IPV6 components)
If value is 0xFF or 0x10 - impossible to connect to scanner whatever the status of the iPv6 checkbox on the network adapter (and scankit logs will say Connect IP: fe80::ff:fe00:0)
If value is 0x00 or 0x01 or 0x20-> possible to connect to scanner only if the IPV6 checkbox on the network adapter is checked (and scankit logs will say Connect IP: fe80::ff:fe00:0%X - where the X after the %s at the end can be any number depending on the computer and number of available network adapter)
- If the DSO's IT department is setting up "Group Policies" they must not enable the one named: "Prohibit connection to non-domain networks when connected to domain authenticated network"
