When merging your Virtual Waxup you are facing this kind of adaptation default ?

So Basically as the virtual wax-up doesn't have proper dies with margin definition, to ensure the insertion of the waxup it creates an undercut model depending on the Model axis (similar to the BiteSplint module but it is neither visible nor editable here) and when merging it cut everything that is in the undercut areas.

There is 2 Workaround to avoir this behavior.

  • Workaround 1:

-When your design is done, instead of selecting Merge, select Merge model

-Then you select Correct interferences with model and setup the distance you want between your wax-up and the model and there you have your wax-up adapted on model.

(Be sure there is no holes in your model before correcting interferences with model)

  • Workaround 2:

Instead of creating a Virtual Wax-up order, you can create a Diagnostic elements order.

You have to go under CnB & implants, then Diagnostics and finally Diagnostic elements.
